NB-IoT Antennas
What are NB-IoT antennas?
An NB-IoT antenna is specifically designed for Narrowband Internet of Things communications.
NB-IoT is a cellular network-based low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) technology released by the 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) in 2016 as part of the LTE (Long Term Evolution) standard and is also one of the key components of the 5G (5th generation mobile communication) standard.
NB-IoT antennas are built on top of cellular networks, occupying only a frequency band of about 180 kHz. They can be deployed directly in GSM, UMTS, or LTE networks to reduce deployment costs and enable smooth upgrades. NB-IoT antennas play a key role in these systems by transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves and are an important component in realizing NB-IoT communications.
Features of NB-IoT antennas
Low power consumption
NB-IoT antennas are designed for low-power devices and are suitable for IoT devices that run for long periods.
Wide coverage
NB-IoT antennas can provide stable communication in environments with poor signal coverage, especially suitable for remote areas or areas with difficult signal coverage.
Large connectivity
NB-IoT antennas support a large number of devices to be connected at the same time, suitable for scenarios with a large number of devices in IoT applications.
Low-cost
Compared to other communication technologies, NB-IoT antennas have a low cost, making them suitable for large-scale deployment.
Classification of NB-IoT antennas
NB-IoT antennas can be categorized into various types according to their design, purpose, and shape.
Classification by use
Communication antenna, TV antenna, radar antenna, etc.
