LoRa & Sigfox Antennas
What are LoRa & Sigfox antennas?
The LoRa & Sigfox antennas are dual-band antennas with two-band applications such as LoRa bands (433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz) with Sigfox bands (868 MHz, and 915 MHz) combination antennas.
LoRa band operating frequency
LoRa networks operate on multiple frequency bands around the world, including 433MHz, 868MHz, and 915MHz.
For example, in Europe, LoRa typically operates in the 868MHz band, while in the US it operates in the 915MHz band.
LoRa modulation mode
LoRa adopts linear FM spread spectrum (CSS) technology with forward error correction (FEC) capability, which enables long-distance communication without interference and strong anti-jamming performance.
Sigfox operating frequency
Sigfox uses the 192kHz spectral bandwidth of the public frequency band for transmission, adopts ultra-narrowband modulation, the transmission width of each message is 100Hz, and the data rate is 100 or 600 bits per second, depending on the network configuration in different regions.
Globally unified frequency bands of Sigfox
Sigfox uses the same radio frequency bands (e.g. 868MHz or 902MHz) worldwide, facilitating cross-border deployment.
Features of LoRa & Sigfox antennas
The dual-band antenna can support both LoRa and Sigfox technologies with the following features.
Compatibility
The antenna can receive LoRa and Sigfox signals at the same time to meet the needs of different technology standards.
Flexibility
Suitable for scenarios where both LoRa and Sigfox networks need to be deployed at the same time, reducing equipment replacement and maintenance costs.
Coverage
Combines the advantages of both technologies to provide wider coverage and stronger signal stability.
Practical application cases
In practical applications, LoRa & Sigfox dual-band antennas can be widely used in the following scenarios:
Smart cities
The antenna is used for intelligent traffic, environmental monitoring, etc., to provide real-time data transmission.
Agriculture
The antenna is used for farmland monitoring, irrigation control, etc., to improve agricultural production efficiency.
Logistics
The antenna is used for cargo tracking and inventory management to improve logistics efficiency.
Smart homes
The antenna is used for home automation, security monitoring, etc., to improve the living experience.
