The 3.5 GHz CBRS band has the most commonly used frequency range of 3550 MHz to 3700 MHz.
CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) is the band that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) decided in 2015 to use for the Citizens Broadband Radio Service. This band has a total bandwidth of 150 MHz and spans the existing LTE band 42 (3400 MHz to 3600 MHz) and LTE band 43 (3600 MHz to 3800 MHz).
CBRS is also known as the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), which is a series of 150 MHz of spectrum (3.55 to 3.7 GHz) in the 3.5 GHz band (‘Band 48’).
While CBRS is an interesting topic from a marketing perspective, from a technical perspective, CBRS is simply a series of 150 MHz of spectrum (3.55 to 3.7 GHz) available only in the United States that can be used for dedicated mobile networks.
The primary uses of CBRS spectrum are as follows.
