2x2 MIMO Antennas
What are 2×2 MIMO antennas?
A 2×2 MIMO antenna refers to a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology in which the transmitter and receiver are each equipped with two antennas, enabling the transmission of 2 receive signals and 2 transmit signals. This configuration is known as 2×2 MIMO, which means two inputs and two outputs.
How do 2×2 MIMO antennas work?
The 2×2 MIMO technology utilizes spatial resources for multiple transmissions and multiple receipts by using multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver ends. Without increasing spectrum resources and antenna transmit power, parallel transmission of signals is achieved through multiple antennas, thus exponentially increasing the system channel capacity and transmission rate. This technology can make full use of space resources, improve the capacity and reliability of the wireless channel, and reduce the BER.
Applications of 2×2 MIMO antennas
2×2 MIMO antennas are widely used in Wi-Fi devices, especially in home and office environments. For example, Wi-Fi devices equipped with 2×2 MIMO antennas can support 2T2R (2 receiving signals, 2 transmitting signals) transmission of two signal streams, thus achieving high bandwidth and stable wireless connectivity. This configuration provides high-speed data transmission while ensuring signal stability and coverage.
