If 5G can help the Internet of Things and blockchain solve their scalability problems, we hope that the dream of extremely secure financial transactions, smart cities, and remote surgery will become a reality. However, from another perspective, the development of 5G, IoT, and blockchain as independent technologies is also crucial. It is difficult for us to talk about 5G, the Internet of Things and the blockchain. Who will bring to whom? Who will motivate who will move toward the realization of true universal values? The biggest technology wave that is sweeping the world today is 5G, which uses the latest cellular network technology. Experts and other non-professionals have been waiting for this for a long time. For example, Verizon has announced 5G coverage in 19 US cities so that more cities will be covered by 2020.

 

At least at the basic level, there are no obstacles to the implementation of 5G technology. As a newer network technology, 5G can transmit data at speeds of up to 10Gb per second, while 4G can only reach 100Mb per second. From this set of data, we can see that 5G can ensure faster internet, lower latency and larger interconnects (capable of connecting more devices at the same time).

 

These advantages make IoT devices the biggest beneficiaries of this new technology - especially for small, low-power devices, and higher speeds mean faster network data transfer. In addition, the efficient interconnection of 5G networks means that more IoT devices will benefit.

 

The Internet of Things technology allows tangible objects that are used every day to connect to the Internet, transmit data through algorithms and better serve customers. At present, the most intuitive manifestation of the rapid development of Internet of Things technology is the proliferation of smart devices such as TVs, furniture, and vacuum cleaners. Currently, there are already smart homes that are completely operated by built-in algorithms.
