Wideband High Gain Magnetic Mount Whip Antenna

Polarization of the antenna
The antenna radiates electromagnetic waves to the surrounding space. Electromagnetic waves are composed of an electric field and a magnetic field. It is stipulated that the direction of the electric field is the direction of polarization of the antenna. Generally used antennas are unipolar. The figure below shows two basic single-polarization cases: vertical polarization - the most common one; horizontal polarization - is also used.
Dual polarized antenna
The figure below shows two other cases of single polarization: +45° polarization and -45° polarization, which is used only in special cases. Thus, there are four types of single polarization, see the figure below. Combining two polarized antennas of vertical polarization and horizontal polarization, or combining two polarization antennas of +45° polarization and -45° polarization, constitutes a new antenna. ---Double-polarized antenna.
