The is a 470-510MHz Omni antenna designed specifically for Private network to mate with rail, mast and deck mounting hardware.
Fabricated from heavy duty Fibreglass and chrome-plated brass, this fiberglass antenna offers 5 dBi gain with a bandwidth of 5 % from the center frequency of 470-510 MHz.
Terminated in an N-Female connector, the antenna is compatible with standard marine mounting accessories by way of a revolving nut kit (sold separately). This antenna is ideal for private network antenna applications using the 470-510 MHz frequency. The fiberglass antenna is approximately 1230mm in length.

The fiberglass Omni-directional outdoor antenna is designed for private network applications. The antenna operates at 470-510MHz,  with a 5dBi gain. The omnidirectional antenna radiates uniformly in the azimuth.


This collinear design characteristic provides the best performance, giving optimized coverage and therefore longer range in the horizontal plane over 360 degrees, thus minimizing the number of nodes needed for a mesh network. The UV resistant fiberglass housing enables the antenna to be utilized in all kinds of harsh environments, making it more robust and safer than traditional whip antennas. It can be connected directly to the access point or telemetry unit or can be mounted on wall or device surface via the N-type connector.

This band is used in the Broadcast Television Service, the Industrial/Business Radio Service, the Low Power Auxiliary Service, the Low Power Television (LPTV) Service (including TV Translator, TV Booster, and Class A Stations), the Offshore Radiotelephone Service, and the Public Safety Radio Service. Operation of unlicensed Part 15 Devices is permitted between 470 and 512 MHz.


China 470-510 MHz
The Chinese 470-510 MHz band behaves similar to the US bands. There are 96 uplink channels and 48 downlink channels. In some regions, a subset of these channels is used by China Electric Power and can therefore not be used for LoRaWAN. The Things Network uses the eleventh sub-band (number 10 if you start counting at 0).
